Have got to drink 2 pints of water to be finished an hour before my appointment at 11.00. Would be be a good idea not to eat breakfast so I don't feel too full up?

I can't see any problem in "skipping " breakfast, providing that you are not a diabetic. Any chance of a small snack at breakfast.......toast and marmalade...one slice......that shouldn't fill you up too much.
Good luck with the scan, Mintymow.

Kidney scan over. Result, all ok. Have to look into another cause for my back ache.
There are many kinds of kidney scan, mintymow. One may not be enough.
Was it the one for Ultrasound, or the one where you have a full bladder and they give you a dish to pee it into, whilst they look at your bladder and ureters on a screen? Every kidney scan I've ever had, and there have been many, I've been told not to eat beforehand. You should have been told by your GP or the hospital, what you should do. Not your fault!
mintymow! I'm just amazed you were given an answer straight away!! Over here we have to wait at least 10 days, then have to phone GP to ask for result :(
Hope they find the cause of your problem soon.

Sir Alex it was an ultrascan. Started with a full bladder while they checked it and urethra then was alowed to pee, then they checked the kidneys.

Bathsheba it is quite common from our hospital to be given the result by the scan operator if they are happy. They are the ones that send the reports to the doctor anyway.
