Can anyone help please.
When changing Doctors does the previous doctor have to send details of the patients health to the new doctor. Or is there a special procedure.
Notice of the 'Confirmation of GP Registration' from the Primary Care Agency has been received, but the new doctor has received nothing. Three weeks has expired.

The Primary Care Agency will have notified the previous doctor that the patient has changed to a new GP, and the records should be sent electronically, direct from GP practice A to GP practice B. Get back to the PCA and ask them for an update.

Thank you Boxtops.

I have been through to my previous doctors and they say they have sent our medical records to the PCA for onward transmission to the new doctors.
Are you sure about the electronic transfer direct to the new doctors.
I understand the details are still not at the new surgery. Most grateful for your help.
