I've no experience of it but think your friend obviously has more money than sense ;-)

Can she not join Weight Watchers or Slimming World? Cheaper and surely better for you?
Or just eat properly and do some exercise.

There are so many diet scams when it is not all about fancy complex diets but just eat good food over a period of time, and do a certain amount of excercise.
It's no different to slimfast which is much cheaper....it's also a pyramid selling franchise and not strictly legal in this country....comes fro the state's....

OK but what about the products as they claim they are really amazing?
>>>as they claim they are really amazing?

Well they would wouldn't they.
Herbalife does what it says it will do - you will lose weight as your are on a calorie restricted diet BUT as soon as you eat normally the weight will go on again.
All these wonder diets give a quick huge loss of weight and cost a fortune. Once weight reaches desired target and normal even sensible diet resumed it will quickly pile on again. The only way is join Slimming World or Weight Watchers etc or eat sensibly and healthily with a nice slow but steady result.
This article is about the scam that is Herbalife/incomeathome.com

It's a pyramid scheme.

(The article is also really nicely put together - better than the Verge's normal standards)

So the pyramid scheme thing is a scam but the products work for a short fix.
Interesting
Losing weight shouldn't cost you money, it should help you gain some... If you're overweight it means you eat too much for the needs of your body. By reducing those fatty foods (so fat) which your body has enough of at the moment and replacing them with proteins (fish, yoghourt, skimmed milk...) and as many veg and fruit as you want (without anything added) you're well on your way to a healthy diet. Wholemeal bread is good too. Add to this a walk or swim every day and within 3 months you'll see a great change.
You can still have a cake or chips but it's a treat now and again not a daily thing or you're back on track to being overweight.
By the way £150 per month is a scam but if it convinces her she'll lose weight and quite honestly at that price I'd make sure I did, why not????!!!!
