Can anyone please tell me where to buy it, shop or online? I suffer with IBS and when it is bad MoM is the only thing that corrects it. I have looked at all the reguar on line stores, Boots, Superdrug, Lloyds, Tesco, Sainsbury, but with no joy. I have now ordered some from America off Amazon but it going to be a nightmare having to do that everytime I need it. Any clues would be very very very welcome.

In what way do you hope that milk of magnesia may help your IBS?

you'd be better off seeing your gp and getting something on prescription.

Craft1948 - I don't hope it will help - I KNOW it helps, I have had IBS for 20 years and have always taken it.

Well I've had IBS for about 15 years which is why I asked what symptom of IBS you wanted to relieve...............

Have been to GP and had every concoction they have to offer and have always gone back to MoM - as I said before I have had IBS for a very long time and know how to manage it when I get flare up's. MoM is what I have always used during those periods.
Boots stock it. But do see your GP.
Sorry, only trying to help......................

craft 1948 - cramps, bloating, pain, constipation - and some other symptoms I would rather not mention on here! But if you have it, you will know exactly what I mean.
I take Mbeverine for bloating and 2 co-codamol twice a day to stop my colon from spasming..............

Tried Boots website - they have none!
Gripe water is good.

I didn't know you couldn't get milk of magnesia any more. There was always a bottle of it in our medicine cupboard when I was a nipper.
Question Author
Craft1948 - thanks but if I took even 1 co codamol I would be asleep all day, and I have to go to work every day! Co codamol knock me out!
Have you tried seeing a dietician to see which foods might give you more flare-ups of IBS?
I also take Mbeverine prescribed by the gp. It relaxes the colon from spasms.
I just looked on amazon, and it is available here, price quoted in sterling :-)
I remember having that stuff as a child (I hated it). It looks like you can`t get it in the UK anymore although it is still available in the US. Your best bet is to continue to get it from Amazon
