Every afternoon i nap. I cannot keep my eyes open. I Don't sleep well at night, im up a few times to go for a wee, and then i get headaches and hot flushes and night sweats. So i have a disturbed night, but still find it difficult to wake up in the morning. Im fine once out of the house, but when i get back after work, i nod off. I have hypothyroidism, and am on 50mcg. I also get night terrors every few months. Any doctors on here that can recomend a pill or advice. thanks.

Sounds as if you need a blood test for your thyroid .Perhaps the dosage needs increasing .50mcg is very little .
Don't take any supplements ,go to the doctor and get tested .
I agree with shaneystar.........get your thyroid tests done.
Good grief Sqad ..you agree with me ...that's a first :0)
I've slept on a line ever since I was in my mid-30s - I don't think there's anything the matter with me, I just get tired. I wake around 6 (good sleep unless I need the loo) then am good first thing - about 3pm I need a nap. (I've just woken up now).

(However, I suspect I'm a good 30 years older than phleb... :-)
Hell's teeth, that's me not nibble ^^
I am always dozing off when watching tv and no matter how hard I try to stay awake...I can`t!!!I too.have disturbed nights..running to the loo...I am past the menapause so no sweating etc..but it is a pain having to get out of bed a couple of times per night.Do you like reading,i find that helps me get back to sleep.
Do hoe you get the help you need.x
sorry typing error.:I do hope you get the help you needx
I was tempted to write 'welcome to my world'. I am 85 and still get hot flushes. I have told the doctor and said this is what it feels like and she said that it is hot flushes and that some people get them into old age. I also fall asleep in the afternoon, and have done for years. I just cannot keep my eyes open. Most annoying if I am watching a detective story and miss who the murderer was. Disturbed nights, etc. exactly the same. I have learned to live with it. However, I agree with the others if there is any help you can get then get it as soon as possible.
