Herbie, I had mine done on Oct 22nd. Use your walking stick. You'll need it for another 4 or 5 weeks yet. Try to walk small distances without it, but use it when you feel the need. You've only been out of hospital for 3 weeks so I'm sure you still need your stick. I used mine for most of the 13 weeks recovery, although towards the end of that time I only carried it in case I...

i agree with you - very early days :)
Limp....pain.......4 weeks post op............to be honest it is a "slight " cause .....well perhaps "more" than a slight cause for concern....in my opinion.

However, all patients react differently and the gait doesn't particularly bother me.............but pain? I would ask for an review before March 1st.
Surprised you weren't followed up after discharge. Report pain/balance to GP/Hospital. Often post-hip op., one leg is slightly longer or shorter. If this is problem then they will arrange for shoe-wedges t make legs equal length. Other possibility you must get checked is dislocation. BUT SEE ALL OF THE MEDICS INVOLVED - THEY ARE YOUR SERVANTS NOT YOUR MASTERS.
It can take over 3 months for the pain to go, as long as its not agony, then think this is normal x

You'll be fine if you don't try to over-do it.
I'm back at work now and doing ok. Good luck Keep us posted on your progress.
