Sounds similar to my problems last year ...... went to GP, sent for x-ray, and found out my right hip was crumbling away ...... now had a hip-replacement and feeling great.
Get to your GP.

been no help
If its a multi doctor practice see a different one or go back Cocodamol has paracetamol in it so don't take both you can get voltarol over the counter now it might work better for you than Ibuprofen
Voltarol is much stronger than Iburofen. Whatever you do, don't take it with aspirin or you could end up in hospital like me, after having lost much blood through internal bleeding.
You need to see the doc. If you are getting no joy, ask for a referral.
Youbdo not say fornhownlongnyou have been suffering.
I am not sure that being a smoker has anything to do with your symptoms.
I soils take Ibuprofen 600mgms up to every 4 hours if necessary and monitor the situation over the weekend.
