Sorry if posted in the wrong place.

I had my tooth knocked out at football this morning. I have read its best to preserve it in milk.
My dentist is closed til tomorrow. I have tried putting it back in but its too painful to go in fully.
Anyone know what else I can do? I don't want to lose the tooth.
Will it cost a lot to have it either put back in or have a fake one done?
Thank you

Any update on your tooth?

Hi guys,

Well, I put the tooth back in last Sunday and went to the dentist who took an x-ray on Monday. He said there's more chance of losing it than it surviving. But I have an appointment on Monday to see. Its very very tender, I keep knocking it with my bottom teeth, and eating is a struggle. It's a bit wobbly still, and last night I could feel the front tooth next to it was a tad wobbly too. I will update after Monday. Thank you all for your advice...

Hi guys,
Sorry for the late update!
I put the tooth back in the same day, then went to the dentist on Monday who said there was a remote chance that the tooth could be saved.
It got infected and the nerve was taken out (sick dentist actually waved it in my face) but a course of antibiotics and a month later, the tooth is solid!!!!
Not wobbly at all and feel comfortable eating with it.
Goes to show, you can't ALWAYS believe the dentist!
