I was asleep for half 8 last night and slept until 8 this morning but still I cant keep my eyes open! Bright lights make my eyes hurt and I have dizzy spells, I don't want to eat because I'll just be sick, Iv seen my doctor who says it's just a migraine does anyone eles think it's more than a migraine?

From what you have described.....then I agree with your doctor........it does sound like migraine.
carliex - if it feels like the beginning of one for over a week - it could be a hormonal related migraine - I get dizzy with migraines.
i had these symptoms when i was on the pill. x
Have you tried to take anything for it, perhaps Migraleve or something similar. I would give it a try. If it doesn't go then see your doctor again. But it sounds like a migraine. They take different forms and if you have had migraine before then it is very likely.
I was going to suggest the same as Lottie, see if any migraine medication helps. I find Migraleve brilliant on mine.

The more prolongued ones I've had were related to going on Dianette (contraceptive pill), starting to take my arthritis meds and changing to artificial sweetners. Is there anything which could have set it off?

A colleague was complaining of a similar grumbling continuing headache. Someone suggested trying antihistimines and she said he helped a lot so figured it was something she had a reaction to. So it might help but finding any trigger would be best to be able to avoid it.
Yes it is. Migraine can manifest itself in many ways, not just the severe headache.
