Nail Varnish opening

My nail varnish bottle is stuck. The lid came off, but the clear thing that holds the brush won't budge. I've tried using a rubber glove, an elastic band and also both of them at the same time. Anyone got any other tricks I can use?

Pour really hot water over it which will soften the varnish.You will have to be really careful as there isnt much there to hold.
