my hair is naturally mid brown, but i've been dyeing black for a few years. i want to go mid brown/light brown for a change. i've just put on some blonde (not bleach) dye, as the box recommended to do this so it would lighten the hair, so you can re apply the colour that you actually want. well, i've done that, but now i have a half centimetre of ginger roots, and my hair is still black!! what should i do?

honestly, im growing my hair out as it is. i had it short and spiky, and i've only had it trimmed twice since july! it still only just covers my ears. i need pretty hair!!!
Back to black i think or a trip to the hair dressers.
As already suggested you need to go to the hairdressers. They can do a colour correction. I got a free colour correction and highlights not long ago in one hairdressers as they wanted a model to practice on.
