If you've only just dyed it then wash it 3 or 4 times in Hair and Shoulders, that should strip a lot of it out.
Sorry, that should be Head and Shoulders.

It's not just coloured, I've had it black for about 2 years now and I'm bored with it and fancy a change to cheer me up.

Would you consider having a mobile hairdresser belinda, only this is a major undertaking that is best left to the professionals?

I agree...i wouldn't risk doing that yourself. You could end up orange or something!
you will end up orange as first of all you have to bleach it..then you will have to dye it red to put the pigment back then whatever colour you wish to go next!!I dyed my hair black once and it was really long my normal colour is reddish blonde..so i ended up having to get my hair cut really short and suffer roots for a few weeks to restore it!! fortunately my hair grows really fast..
Buy "Daniel Galvin Colour Corrector" Belinda. You would use it just as you would a hair colour but it will lighten your by at least 2 shades. If you have long hair best to get 2. Its marvellous stuff and gentle on the hair. Superdrug and Boots stock it:--))

Thanks everyone !

Hello, do not use bleach to strip the colour out of your hair it will dry your hair!!!!! also head and shoulders will not work. you would be best to call a mobile hair dresser, i have had mine done last year it cost around 40 but the condition of my hair is so much better now. when u call the hairdsresser advise her that u want ur hair stripped as some mobile hairdressers dont do it.

hope u are feeling better soon

hi there, just to let you know, head and shoulder's WILL strip some hair colours as it is a medicated chemical shampoo, it is designed to remove anything from the hair that could cause skin problems, hair dye chemicals being one of them. also strong natural shampoos like tea tree may remove dyes, and some henna shampoos will fade colours too. colourists at our salon will often recommend a shampoo like head and shoulders before a colour strip, dependant on the brand.
Use vitamin c tablets!
Crush up a few in a mixing bowl and add it to your shampoo (ensuring its well mixed together with no lumps) Put the mixture on your hair and leave for around 10 minutes - wash off and condition your hair. The colour should now be gone - NB this will not remove bleach.
