Khandro, there's a Hobbies and Interests subsection under "Society & Culture" - not very obvious but that's probably where I'd post, or under "How it Works" if that was relevant.

Hobbies and interests under society and culture is your best bet, but I agree, it should have its own topic.

Bear in mind that not every subject can be allocated its own topic category else the site would become too onerous to navigate. Popularity of a subject should drive the inclusion of such topics however it is difficult to know if any subject is (or will remain)popular enough. For years a subset of ABers clamoured for a Military section and were duly rewarded in 2008; in the intervening 2-plus years it has garnered fewer than 100 threads and it appears that those that requested it very rarely return to AB.

I think lots of new people (young blood, bring me young blood;-) would in fact *discover* AnswerBank if photography were a topic or subcategory in and of itself.

why don't you post on Editor's blog, and suggest it?

The place for site suggestions (funnily enough) is the Suggestions topic.

people tend to post questions about caameras under Technology and questions about photographs under Art; both sections seem to produce responses.
