Hi Folks

Where can I find on the net, the instructions & pictures outlining the basics of drawing humans (preferably humans in action - for example running etc)?

I've found this, but need more examples (with more action)

Many many thanks in advance

Hello Mitchell
There are some on the following site:
http://www.artcluster.com/whiteboard/tips/tip5 .html
Hope this helps
That's a good site you found there, Jeanyb! As someone who studied at art school, my best advice would be to 'just keep doing it'. You'll only get better with practise. One of our exercises was to do a ten-second sketch of another student in a ridiculous pose in front of the class. One of these is still a favourite drawing of mine after very many years.
If you're serious about figure drawing, I'd also recommend 'Dynamic Figure Drawing' by my hero Burne Hogarth. He's the one who used to draw the 'Tarzan' comics, and his book contains advice about figure drawing that even my lecturers were unaware of.
Question Author
Thak you both for your answers and suggestions! I'm about to teach some 9-11 year olds the absolute basics, and, not being an artist myself, I can honestly say that your posts ( and websites!!!)have helped me enormously!!!!!!

Big, big, thanks
