I taught for a few years back in the early nineties and am trying to remember a reading scheme in which a mysterious and magical black cat appeared. I think the cat could become invisible.
Can anyone tell me the title?

It was the "Tim and Tobias" series. Don't know who they were by, but I'm sure you could Google them
hi Drusilla... sorry to butt in here... I posted a followup question for you at the end of this thread below . Apologies if you don't want to worry about it any more but I would be genuinely interested in hearing your views. http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Suggestions/Question189923.html

Hi jno. As always I'm in two minds about these matters. It is possible that I over react to swearing generally, because my daughters seem less fazed about it than me. However, I don't want their language to deteriorate to the stage where they feel bad language is acceptable in every day usage.
As for 'suspect' names on site, I think they notice anything with 'ginger', 'red', 'titian' or 'freckles' because of their own colouring. Whether they would notice words outside these parameters is debatable.
The girls got a kitten for Christmas and have been far less interested in Answerbank since then. Philistines!!!
don't let the contributors to News hear that they've developed an interest in other species - after the ill temper that greeted a modest post expressing regret at the death of a whale... anyway, good luck to them, AB will remain a useful source of advice and info when they feel like coming back to it
It was Tim and the Hidden People series by Sheila McCullagh. The website is www.timandthehiddenpeople.moonfruit.com
I enjoyed reading this at school and have just recently found it on the internet! You can order books from here and it also gives other websites to order the books too. Enjoy!
