This is something I've painted:

*** I paint in my free time and I'm a self-taught artist. I enjoy expressing myself through my art, but it's okay if what I create is not marketable. I study something else and I love it.

You've been here before. I like your stuff.

What else do you study?

Hey there Atheist. I know you. I've always liked your comments on my works too. They've always been honest and direct, yet never mean. You actually encouraged me to keep up with my style. Thank you. I study at drama school. I'm on the second year and next year on July I'll finally graduate. I've already made some connections in the industry and soon I'll shoot a short film as the protagonist, so it's quite promising.

I must say that I have not been impressed by your written work.

I enjoy your colours, composition and brushwork but I don't have strong feelings about symbolism or emotion. I'm an old man and not interested in seeing a tiny female figure in the background or a young naked male in the foreground, and trying to evoke old man's emotions. I think you should carry on with your visual stuff and not try to be too intellectual about it all.

Your painting I like, and I think you should carry on. Good luck.

I know nothing about your acting, so can't comment. It's nice to see someone who works and wants to achieve stuff.

Which written work are you talking about? The ones I've posted here?

Well, thanks for that. Symbols are for the ones who want to see them regardless of their age. But of course, I will never emphasise on intellectuality or force meaning onto my works.

This painting narrates suffering, isolation and vulnerability in a seemingly colours world. That's all I wanted to evoke in this painting.

Thanks. My teachers are happy with me. Hopefully I'll be able to graduate with good marks and get into the industry as soon as I can.

seemingly colourful world*

There's always something rather haunting (or perhaps bleak) about your foreground figures, but this image also seems heavy on symbolism (which I'm still working on 😊).

Your style is certainly distinctive, and I see no reason why it shouldn't continue and be successful.

Good luck .

I'm getting 'Trans lives matter'

I'm getting women don't have a penis. On an emotional level I find the background very pleasing to the eye and the human figure unpleasant to look at.

I'm getting 'troll bait', and they never fail to bite.

I answered the question honestly.

You just attacked people who don't think like you, tomus.

As is the way of the leftwaffe.

It's either very windy or the artist has an inner ear infection.

What is it you are trying to do? Are you expressing a narrative ? if so is that narrative known only to you ? Is it real or imaginary? Do you think it matters ?

It's quite a strong image but crudely drawn. Is that intentional or the 'best you can do'  ?

Do you know what  faux naïve means

Khandro. What do you think of Van Gogh or Rouault?

//Khandro. What do you think of Van Gogh or Rouault?//

The former significant, the latter insignificant.

they never fail to bite. 😁
