a.h. The shortest theatre review was of a new Broadway musical called 'Bang!', the review; Ouch!
In my youth, I loved the Pan Book Of Horror Stories series, and there was a story that started and finished with the same paragraph that I loved and found very creepy.
So much so, that I kept the book when I left home, and it’s moved house with me so many times, but I haven’t read it for 45+ years.
So thank you for this thread, Indysoda. I’ve just dug it out, and will have a read.
The story is called Harry by Rosemary Timperley.
Just read the story.
Didn’t find it creepy any more, but it did send a chill.
/// The Legend of Gelert the dog. A Welsh folk tale that my Mum used to tell my as a child, it always made me cry. ///

Gosh, yes Margo, now you remind me, I remember that one - grievously sad indeed.

I just remembered a good one, by Graham Greene I believe. I think it's called 'A Shocking Incident'. About a schoolboy who is called in to se the Head, who sadly announces that the boy's father has been killed in a shocking accident - killed by a falling pig.
