3/4 done for those who like to follow progress of something coming together - getting there, the building to the left to texture and shadow, ditto the wall under the tree and that needs it to 'support the tree above' and some foreground......this one has taken some time...! But then there's plenty of that going and the weather has been good for working outside. Lost the sense of time today and forgot to put the oven on for a roast chicken, only just gone in.

thanks all.....it's a hobby that occasionally pays for the wine, just building the portfolio for private commissions in this 'interlude' and warm up for the season ahead, if it materialises, the crazy and annoying thing that I was looking at a contract for a hotel group here in the SW.....
You really are very talented DTC. It is indeed a gift.
The texture is so real.
What a talent.
Excellent, DTC :-)
If that was Grantchester the clock would read ten to three.

lol Tilly.....it was 5pm for the shading! The clock works apparently - if someone would wind it up.

Thanks all....
Love that Dt,
I've just bought a couple of little oils by the an artist, my first .. & I love them.

Another belter there, DT. Loving the shadows.
DT...do you work from life, or from a photograph?
What a pity Tinypic won't show all the other drawings you've posted over the years on here DTC. One of the first things I remember when joining was seeing a drawing you had done and being impressed.
I wanted to look at this one again but no luck.

Very good. You should consider getting a market stall and seeing what you can get for originals & copies.
That is very good DT.
