After writing a story, how can I sell it: and how much can i spend on it.

do you want to self publish? get it printed? do an e book? have an agent?

Some people self publish on Amazon, give their first book away free and then charge for the rest. Presumably Amazon take a cut and you get the rest.

c at c you also have to get the book converted to kindle format (?e-pub) and I think they charge for that

Get it proof read properly first (if you haven't already), make copies and send to smaller publishers I guess. Good luck.
