Yes the AB rules and Ed has made them clear - that doesn't mean angie can't discuss the rights or wrongs of it though does it? When push comes to shove if a quiz setter say no internet then doing so is poor spirit IMO.
The Editor couldn't have been clearer - see Best Answer on this thread - disappointing but there you have it.

Perhaps some people are so desperate to win the £10 prize (or whatever), that principles go out of the window.

I can't see why Angie has such a problem understanding that the AB Editor has said that the only rules that apply here are AB rules.
It's up to the quizzers if they follow the rules or not, it isn't anything to do with AB.
The Ed had made it clear that asking is ok, and criticising those who do, is not.
I think that she fully understands the rule but is stating her disagreement with it. Quite often in the NEWS section we disagree with the sentence passed down by a judge in a certain case even though we understand, to a degree, what the laws (or 'rules') state.
The News section is for debate and opinion, sanmac. This section is for asking and answering quiz questions... and the Ed has been clear that it is allowed.
Any individual rules by quiz setters, however irrational, should be sorted between themselves and their customers. It is not appropriate here to constantly nark at posters.
This appears to be my quiz and yes it is no asking, if someone has asked then I will disqualify that entry and before you start ranting about questions on an asking site will be answered let me point out that I reached an agreement a very long time ago with whoever ran this site and we agreed I wouldn't advertise it on an asking site and any questions on this site would be removed and in my opinion it is extremely sneaky asking a no asking quiz under the art and literature section to escape detection. I will find out who has asked I have already narrowed it down to a handful and I only found out about this thread a couple of minutes ago and I will disqualify them as they haven't stuck to the rules of the quiz. I run my own quiz site and I only advertise on there so it is kept free of askers. Most people on here are courteous enough to accept the rules of no asking even if they don't agree with them and I appreciate that. I make the quiz therefore I set the rules of said quiz and if people don't like it then don't buy it. There are dozens of quizzes out there that people can buy and ask, mine isn't one of them and I make that quite clear on the quiz sheet, it is also made clear in the advertising and over the years I have made my views on asking very clear. This site owner might not have agreed with my views but did agree to respect the fact that I don't want my quiz on this site.

Thank you Pixie, the voice of reason ;o)
It was silly of them to agree to that imo, although the eds have changed over time.
If you don't want publicity, fair enough... but that is between you and the people who buy the quiz, and not anything to do with this site.
Always, Baldric lol. It's hardly life and death.
To a degree yes it is between me and the quizzer but just because someone is rude enough to ignore quiz rules, post in a section where they think it won't be noticed and not call it by it's proper title doesn't mean that people cannot comment that it is no asking as to be fair most people on here who know my quizzes do refrain from answering which I do appreciate. If they aren't aware of the facts then they will answer so I am grateful to those who do point out the quiz rules and as I said I don't advertise on here simply because it is an asking site and it wouldn't be fair to do so but there are plenty of setters who have no objections to asking so there is no real need for askers to even buy no asking quizzes. I will find out who this is that has asked and will disqualify their entry and I would prefer it if they refrained from buying my quizzes in future.
// This section is for asking and answering quiz questions..//

wrong! This question was asked in Arts and Literature, not Quizzes & puzzles. What is the point of cheating?
I can fully understand why Oddboddy is miffed about this. In the same situation, I would be too.
One can look up the answer on the internet then no one would know. Just do not use answer bank for these quizzes
How will oddboddy know which answer sheet to disqualify?
I don't know that answer, OG but I do know that having googled Wassily Whatsit. I love his work. I had never heard of him before. Those colours, wow!
A process of elimination to start with I imagine Douglas.
DNA evidence maybe?

Do Not Ask.
I agree Tilly, Kandinsky's works make you think - an interesting man.
