anything by Terry Pratchett
'How To Get Over Your Reading Compulsion'.
By Connie Stop. :-)
'H is for Hawk' by Helen MacDonald.
Pillars of the Earth and World Without End...Ken Follett.
Same as gness... glad you enjoyed the second one too, gness x
The latest Neil Asher sci fi novel......The Soldier. I am on my third read and it is as good as any of the hundreds of books that I have ever read. Recommended.
Lol at Tills......naughty girl. :))
Birdsong by Sebastian faulkes
You have to put Ken Follet's books down. They are rather large. Your hands get achy but you soon pick them up again. :-)
Tilly - that is indeed a fantastic book - have you listened to the Audible version - I played it in three four hour chunks & didn't want it to end.

I agree about TP too, woofy - I still have the very last of his books (The Shepherd's Crown) to read - I've been saving it because I know I'll be bereft at the end ...
That's when a kindle is better, tilly :-)
I loved 'Birdsong' but it wasn't a page turner.

When I'm stressed, any book is unputdownable because I use it as a blocking mechanism. I just bury myself in my latest book and hide away from what's bothering me. So, it's quite difficult to pinpoint an unputdownable book, in reality.
Tilly....I had to cut them into two and hope I didn't lose the second part..... :-)
Good idea, Gness.x
I really did enjoy, Pixie....in fact World Without End is the only book where I have ever gone forward a few chapters to find out what happened to Caris...then happily went back.... :-)
Pixie, I see what you mean. I don't have a kindle though and get all my books from the Salvation Army charity shop in town.
I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes.
No Work Today by Flora Pearce.
I thought it was great too, gness :-). Tilly, I thought I wouldn't like a kindle... I have always been quite addicted to proper books and often fall asleep with one in my hand (a book...), but haven't picked one up since I got the kindle.
For a dark thriller, 'Behind Her Eyes' by Sarah Pinborough. Excellent!
