I have Googled for all I'm worth in an attempt to find the answer to this.  I have a china figurine which has a figure of a girl standing holding a garland of flowers.  She is next to a seated boy holding a lute, looking up at the girl.  There is a basket of flowers between them.  There is a blue mark at the back of the piece which, try as I might, I cannot decipher.  I am unable to describe it as it does not really seem to resemble anything apart from perhaps a jellyfish!!!  Any ideas?!

Sounds like the Hummel style to me but these are normally clearly marked as such.

Thanks.  Have checked this out - but it's not like the Hummell figures at all.  The two figures are more realistic.  I'll keep searching.
