Anything by Dickens....cannot stand.
Totally agree with you, Ric.ror, I ploughed through Catcher in the Rye but just felt he would benefit from a good slap.

Loads of people recommended 'Perfume' to me but it really did nothing for me. Again I just found it impossible to get involved with any of the characters and really did not care what happened to them.
Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre, in fact anything by the Brontes, I don't know why I just cant get into them
War and Peace......
Finnegans Wake is as good as a sleeping pill.
Not keen on anything by George Eliot .....especially Middlemarch...yawn yawn yawn.
I like most of George Eliot, but just couldn't get on with Middlemarch.
Never ever understood the fuss about 'Catcher in the Rye'. Totally un-interesting. Probably the reason it was picked as one of the A-level books.
I dont understand why they dont use the shortest books for a levels - more chance to re-read them then
Agreed re Dickens. I also have very little time for Trollope and the whole romantic fiction genre...
Anything by Shakespeare.
