I Started this earlier today. It is as brutal as most of Cormac is, yet there is something missing - there is a mssing sense of the supernatural or un-natural, primeval forces, which I have found through many of his other novels. It seems much more "human," in it's underlying currents.

I wondered if anyone else had a similar thought?
