Back in 2014 Asda mobile ( Vodafone) decided to change to the Asda (EE provider )creating a lot of problems with peoples phones not working with the new EE sim card, ( Network lockout)

Well their at it again, changing back to Vodafone, leaving thousands of people including me with a locked network, and if you don't get on line before the 15 AUG you lose all your credit with Asda. I've spent nearly all day trying to get my PAC code and they are more or less refusing to give it over. I believe it is law that they must give it to you within 2 days ( may be wrong) but when I put this to them, they just replied, quote only in the UK. In other words your in contact with India. Not sure if this is just EE being upset with Asda moving to Vodafone and wont honor the codes. Whats your thoughts and are you with Asda? if so are you having problems? Many people are also saying their credits have been raided, money taken with no explanation.

I had the same problem with Virgin, but I hassled them endlessly until they gave in and refunded my credit.
I blame brexit ;-)

^^ Well it certainly a way of making a few million when they keep every ones credit come 15 Aug
Asda Mobile is sending new SIM cards out in the same packaging to existing customers (who're simply transferring between EE's network and Vodafone's) as they do to new customers (who're joining Asda Mobile from another service provider). That's causing confusion because that packaging refers to getting a PAC code from a previous provider, which existing users simply don't need.

If you've not already got a new SIM, log into your Asda Mobile account to order one.

If you've got a new SIM, log into your account and follow the instructions there to schedule your port-in start date. Leave your old SIM in your phone until when, on the day after the date you've specified, the signal vanishes. Then replace your old SIM with your new one.

You'll also need to log into your account (or call 2732) to re-order any recurring bundle you might have. (That's because the bundle packages are changing, in your favour, when Asda switch to EE's service). If you call 2732, you'll hear a message telling you that they're experiencing heavy call volumes and suggesting that you go online. Ignore that and keep pressing button until you reach the option to speak to an operator. The wait is actually quite a short one anyway.
If they are annoying you, just leave.

Thanks for your input Buenchico with respect I've done all that, and more no good, they are totally ignoring people
Question Author
Annoying yes and robbing people of their credit, and refusing PAC codes.
Ah Asda = Walmart. Working for the yankie dollar.

Yep, the Arizona cowboys ^^
"If you want to switch and keep your existing phone number, text 'PAC' to 65075 to begin the process. Your provider will reply by text within a minute. They will send you your switching code, called a 'PAC', which will be valid for 30 days."

/// If they are annoying you, just leave.///

And they keep your credit (which the small print does warn you about)
Walmart does not own Asda.
Not any more
Really. Never heard about that.
How much credit do you have on the phone? It might be a small price to pay in the long run.
Why put up with bad service? Change your provider, it's quite simple. Having said that you maybe have a contract which is a different kettle of fish.
Getting a PAC seems easy as the corbeyloon says. Do you need a pac though buenchico says you dont
Question Author
Thecorby 23.38. You can only follow that process if you are texting Pac 65075 with the phone that holds the number you want to keep. As Asda have already passed my details on to the new provider vodafone, hence the phone is locked so I can't use it, the old sim card from Asda no loner works.
Question Author
Maggiebee, try reading the op, this had got nothing to do with putting up with a bad service. Its about a process that Asda are performing that is going very wrong, but may now lead to a bad service, when for the last 6 years I've been using them has been very good.
