I read this book in about 1960. Just read it again. Still held my attention right to the end. Anyone else read it? There was a film too, but I never saw it.

You're giving your age away! This book was kicking around in our family home for years. I tried reading it as a youngster, but found it dull, and never returned to it.

Yes, I was in my teens the first time I picked it up. I read one of her other titles and it was absolute rubbish!
