When an OP closes their post to new answers,do we get any indication that it IS closed,or is it that the answer is just not accepted?

The Op can't close a question, only the Ed can.
They don't do it, invictas, there is no way for posters to close questions - only the Ed can take them off. I've done that before, tried to answer and by the time I press submit, the post is gorn!
Im pretty sure you cannot close a question, unless your the ed ;)
I see no indication on this question and furthermore, I am still able to post.
I think it is the latter - the site seems to be imploding this evening with "close-able" threads. Maybe its a Chinese e-invasion that we are facing......
