Samsung S8000 & Windows 7

I have loaded the disc for this phone -Samsung New PC Studio. It says on the disc it's for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
The program has installed ok but I can't get the USB Port to recognise the phone to allow me to upload my photos. I've tried the Samsung site for a download to no avail. I must have spent most of this afternoon trying. Can anyone help please?

Thanks Chris. I've managed to load the disc on to my PC and my husband's laptop so I think it must be Windows 7 on my new laptop it doesn't like.
