I appreciate that maintenance of this site is only a small part of your tasks at Crystal Guides, but wouldn there be any chance of you acknowledging some of the posts in this section, as it seems that this is the best place for we mere mortals to be heard. The blank tuckers seem to have been usurped by the Marlboro brigade as far as swamping the site in various/inappropriate categories is concerned. I feel as though we've reached a vicious circle here, since any questions, be they valid, ridiculed or ignored will show up on Google etc. I know no single user of this site has any more right to decide what gets posted and what doesn't, but there's been a marked deterioration in the quality of Answerbank over the last few months. Obviously you want us to help you, but we need to feel confident that you'll give us feedback as well. Yours, Despairing in Cyberspace

I agree. It's very disappointing and the number of regulars are diminishing slowly but surely.
Well said Loddeka. Hopefully it'll be as good as it was before when the Marlboro crap is finalised.
I find all of this interesting, as I only arrived at this site a few weeks ago, around the time of the blanks nonsense. And of course, the Marlboro stuff is just beyond annoying. But let's think about this for a minute. When I first came here, I was looking for info on an old TV show as a last resort. I didn't expect a reply to be honest, and so far I've not got one. Fair enough, it was pretty obscure. I explored the site, realised I knew or could find out a lot of answers in my areas of interest i.e. music and sport. Getting feedback is good too though. The problem is: look at the nature of the site. If someone, anyone, thinks that they can help themselves to a million quid by posting a few questions here, they're going to. So, the solution: filter the questions. Or create separate sections. The Harry Potter tide seems to have died down. The blanks? Someone got the first word, so that'll soon be over. But there'll be another one... This is a GREAT site, and I've found it very interesting. But people hopping it in a huff because "their" site has changed have missed the point, and by a long long way.
NO NO NO....exactly the opposite.

THe point that many of the regulars are making is not that it's our site but that the quality of the answers given on here are down to the contributors NOT the editorial staff.....if all the good regulars get sick of being here and leave fewer and fewer of the questions will be answered and the site will fall into a spiral.

I have been on here for more than three years now and have seen the site have ups and downs but this past few months have totally changed the very nature of the site and not for the better......There may well be loads more hits and traffic but no one seems to be hanging around for very long...all rather depressing.

Well said Fst
