I have nothing against polls, some of my best friends..(get's coat)

It would appear the polls do have an effect (re: Trivia), democracy and power to the people etc, so why not hold a poll about the Sports Section and then Private Messaging? Just to gauge public reaction like.

Neither aspect would provide me with particular contentment or vexation, but I am sure Craig007 would come back to cast a 'one off' vote.

What do you think this is? A democracy?

I am quite obviously right about the private messaging thing so I fail to see the point on that one. (Yes, that is where the sun shines from in case you wondered).

However I agree with the sports section as I'm led to believe it's the way the whole site is going to go so a vote would seem appropriate.

Then they can do what they like anyway.

So this isn't the Peoples Front of Answerbank then?

I get it, you can take what you like so long as you only take what you are given.

When that sun shines, does it make the noise of a bugle?
Well I would humbly suggest that our opinions are read and noted but not always acted upon. Otherwise the Sports section may well have been changed by now surely?

Back to trumping again?!

It sounds like a bugle every morning when I get up as I tuck in to the moon on a very nice plate and watch the earth revolve around me.

(BTW, completely off the subject of your thread, I meant to ask ages ago, did you ever find out what you did to offend your friend?)

Flip me, you can always rely on a womans memory!!

Yes I did. I would like to say it is all resolved, but alas the wounds run deep. My friend was being an ass and has apologised unreservedly, but me being a Virgo and all (notice the Ed didn't wish me a happy birthday the other week nor nuffink)

Of course we still talk, but it aint really the same as before, yet.
I doubt your star sign has anything to do with it! But belated birthday wishes. 50 this year? Or was it 60?

Give it time. Old cliche and all but it does work. (And perhaps ditch some of that pride/grudge holding capacity just because someone hurt you. It's rarely worth it).

(psssst! is this what you mean by private messaging? hardly private though is it? anyone can read this, even my mum)

Oh I know, I am civil, it just isnt the same as before. I am not holding grudges really and not playing the wounded puppy, but the fact that I will be moving away shortly (only 200 miles or so) wont really help matters.

Hang on, I have you know I was neither 50 nor 60 this year. Are you saying I act like an old man?
(Well it would have meant I could have asked you slightly more discreetly but don't worry, hardly anyone is looking. They said they wouldn't).

Actually it might help. I get along a lot better with some people the less I see of them. Makes me appreaciate the time I have with them more.

LOL!! Sorry, couldn't resist.

But obviously you have wisdom and forsight of a much older gentleman. And I haven't imagined you as Sherlock Holmes smoking a pipe for quite some time now. (Without that pesky addiction obviously).
