The subscription fee would not determine if you can access The AnswerBank or not. It would only disable adverts. We're not sure how much the subscription would cost but for the purposes of this poll, please answer assuming the fee would be an amount you would be comfortable with. If you would never pay any fee, no matter how low the cost, please respond "no".

No
No.
no. I can't see crossword puzzle questioners being willing to pay either
If subscription is introduced, it will be free still to those not wanting to pay but with no facility to block ads.
No, I dont think I would want to pay, ads dont bother me so happy as it is.
Plainly it doesn't make sense to have a subscription fee for a website that answers questions, so glad to see that isn't being suggested.
Ads don't bother me to the extent that I would pay not to have them: they DO bother me to the extent that I would try to block them and believe it is unreasonable to do other than warn people they are using one, as other sites do.
No. The ads have never bothered me.
Most people know how to get around Ad fire-walls, so a subscription for an ad free site would only affect those who did not have this knowledge and would be unfair.

A totally subscribed service for everyone would be fairer and would knock on the head all the spam posts. However, moderation would have to be over-hauled and some interesting content added through blogs, promotions/advertising through special offers to members etc.

Good Point .
No,but I wouldn't pay a subscription for seeing any site I use on the internet. And what's more AB would have to be improved before I would consider it. Moderation is not good enough - as others have said. The editing team should not rely on moderators so much and take a more active part. It's not a very professionally run site. Just my opinion. Please don't ban me!
Basically, this site has changed into a chat site with regular users, with a great section for quizzers. Let's face it when new names come up they are greeted with suspicion! If I seriously need answers, I don't use answerbank. I go to a relevant site.
I use AB mainly on a PC. Maybe 90% PC. 10% tablet.
With the larger screen on a PC, I find the ads are visible and do their job, but are largely unobtrusive.
Not the same for phone users though. With my "builders' fingers", I don't even know how they manage it ;o)

I spend quite a bit of time on Youtube. I've been thinking about subscribing to it only because their ads are the interruptive type. Apart from being banal, they just get in the way.
Psychologically, I think the AB ad type is far more effective than the irritating Youtube interruptions.
Good to see Dr Evadne back in full profile.
LOL Is she? Great!! I hadn't checked. Thanks Jackdaw. There were problems. Glad they are fixed.
You're showing up on all your posts on my screen.
I hadn't noticed her on my screen. She was only on her profile. Hope she doesn't get banned for what she said. Glad she's back, cantankerous old women!
The ads don't seem to bother me.
No.
I don’t have any kind of blocker thing but the ads don’t bother me at all, I think I have ‘ad blindness’ as I’m so unaware of them.
I would never pay a subscription to any site.
id like to change my answer- how do i do that?

What improvements would you suggest to make it more, "professional"?
