A very good morning to all of you, grey and 'misly' here not a nice day at all , hope your weather is much better,I think we went to sleep here on Thursday night and woke up in a Nanny State , just spoken with my daughter ( not allowed to see her) she's sorting out the directive she's had from the BDA re;track and trace, those who don't ( in the workplace ) will now be subject to disciplinary action resulting in dismissal, Things Can only get Better said D'Ream :0))))

I think you are taking things to seriously
you have failing to track and trace - - and they DDDDIIIIIIEEEE!

but surely it is failing to self - isolate

if it were a new term of the contract it would be subject to worker approval
but I think the employer is just saying it was ALWAYS part of the contract not to intentionally cause on costs and losses on the employer

and yes it is already happening in Manchester
( office has to be dispersed for another week etc )

worker jumped up from her workspace 11 am and exclaimed
o you must let me go off - I have a booked covid test!

dismissed
‘Those who don’t’ what, Bobbie?

Good morning BTW
Question Author
Morning Zac, those who take no notice of the track n trace and say " well I won't be isolating for 14 days) :0)))
Morning Bobbs. Silly times.
Dont worry, the Brownshirts will be round to see you soon.
Question Author
Silly yes , but needs must Sparkly I've heard people say they won't self isolate after getting a phone call, very selfish attitude to have

Who's the Brown shirts?..
Morning Bobbi we have your misle here too and it was such a nice bright day yesterday.
If vulnerable people (like myself) just took care of their own personal safety then I'm sure everyone else could just 'get on with it'.
Bobbi // Who's the Brown shirts?..//

The Sturmabteilung, literally "Storm Detachment", was the Nazi Party's original paramilitary wing. It played a significant role in Adolf Hitler's rise to power in the 1920s and 1930s.
The system relies on the honesty of the employee to inform their employers. Does anyone see a potential issue with that?
Question Author
I don't Zac , that's what she's busy doing, they will all be getting a copy
Question Author
Arh it's never going to be brown shirt stuff then APG , just people taking responsibility for themselves
You don’t see an issue with ‘dobbing yourself in’ to your employer and being laid off work?
Good morning. Cloudless blue sky here with breeze.
Perfect for the garden job we have to do today. Cut back ivy hedge that has gone mad. Not so much the cutting that’s a problem but the clearing up.

Question Author
Not sure if I followed you properly Zac, I think it would be hard to police from the employers side and it would have to rely heavily on the employee taking responsibility for themselves and adhering to the rules laid down for them , and being honest too of course
Question Author
Thank you Jakep, a change of scenery will do us the world of good I'm sure
That’s exactly wha I’m saying. Admitting to having covid19 and being put on SSP in already tough times won’t work.
Agree with you 100% APG at 10.56!
Question Author
I think it's more a case of being somewhere where you've signed in ( we've done it in the two pubs I've visited) leaving a phone contact number, a case arises and that establishment is informed and they have to phone those that have been in the pub who won't necessarily get Covid but nevertheless must isolate from their workplace for 14 days
