Arghh Noisy Ab Adverts!

Is it just me or is anyone else plagued by adverts which play sound?

I usually have a number of sites open including AB and flit between them but I keep getting adverts playing which can be really annoying, especially if I'm watching something and have to pause it to come to my AB tab and stick it on silent though then other adverts seem to start playing. I've had 4/5 start up in the last hour or so, I have clicked on the mute button on each of them but then a new one starts up a bit later with sound.

Is there any way I can get the advert to stop making noise without having to close the page down every time I'm not looking at something on here, which would be a shame as I probably wouldn't dip in and out so often.

Does anyone know? Maybe something like a free ad blocker? I tried one but it was only a free trial.

Thanks for any help :)

Argh, make that about 6!
I've never had any sound on AB, but that could be because i use my mobile.

And another one! Hiya Pixie, I don't use it on my mobile very often though I don't get any adverts on there, not that I've noticed. Only ever when on my laptop.
I never have my speakers on unless I come across something which I want to listen to.
it drives me potty, I hate them, even Gness's fireman on the Harpic one and if that ad for Calgon ever gets on there with sound I shall throw my lap top across the room that Martin Lewis [ I mean tv news reader whatever his name is],on that ad really gets on my "thrupnees".
I always have my laptop speaker button off - it only takes a second to toggle between sound on or off
I had them continuously earlier on today, so I exited the site. seems ok atm.

Try adblock plus if using firefox.
Works with other browsers as well.
