Fieldfare Bully

I have just been watching what I believe to be a Fieldfair in my garden, it is chasing the black birds out from their usual feeding place under a hedge, it only seems to be after blackbirds, never seen it happen before, are they always such bullies? I was pleased to see it before, now I'm not so sure.

Probably they've become quarrelsome over competition for food.
I haven't seen any fieldfairs in my garden but I've noticed some of the blackbirds chasing each other around, possibly rival pairs.
