My friend has a Briard pup - well she's 15 mths old now - but has not yet had her first season. We both thought that even large breeds of dogs had their first season by around one year old (my German Shepherd did). Does anyone know the average age to expect this breed to have their first season?

I don't know about Briards, but dogs in general can have their first heat anywhere between 5 and 18 months.
