So.. Pickle Pans brings me a live mouse the other night.. promptly drops it in the lounge - and it runs under the sofa!

I have a stinking cold - so last night could not be bothered to hunt for it to try and catch it - thought I would leave it to the weekend before moving ALL the furniture around and playing catch!

ANyhooo... this morning I am woken with a dead mouse in the bedroom...

Does this mean.. Harvey Pickle Pants caught the mouse in the lounge... or has he given up on that one and brought in ANOTHER mouse???

Grrrrrr

Maybe there is a colony of them breeding under the sofa.

I would assume that it is the same mouse, but have a quick check around the lounge when you are feeling better to be on the safe side.

You do know that this is a sign of affection and that you should be honoured that you are receiving such a gift. ;-)

I can laugh - my two are indoor cats and I don't have this problem.
Casper brought me one last week........and very proud he was too........
Mine brings them in, sits on them for a while and then gets bored and lets them go. She never kills them although some die of shock.
In the bedroom?
Put out a mouse trap (a humane one if you like) just to be sure...
Bringing you a live mouse means your cat is trying to train you to hunt.
Mother cats first bring dead prey, then barely alive prey, then fully alive prey for their kittens to teach them to catch and eat. If you don't eat the dead mouse your cat will think you are rubbish :-p
Thanks Daffy! But why does she sit on them? I reckon she thinks they are her kittens - she always was a bit loopy!
Maybe she is waiting for you to take the mouse from her lofty.

I love cats, they can be so dumb at times, but are always good amusement value :-)
