What does this mean when your dog eats grass, I noticed my dog eating some grass whilst we were sat in the park about a ten minutes ago..I've heard they do this when they have an upset stomach but is this true?

Try and discourage this as it could become unconforatbly lodged in the dogs throat.

If this happens your dog will make raspy, coughing-type sounds.

All the best
My vet told me that yes it is to induce vomitong. Dogs (and cats) can't digest the fibre content of grass, and if they feel they have eaten something disagreeable they will eat grass in order to vomit empty their stomach. He also said some doigs just like it!
Dogs eating grass is just the same as you reaching for an indigestion tablet.
We leave a patch of untreated, unmowed grass in the garden for dog to eat if he feels he's poorly, this is digestable. Watch out for long, rough grass though as it may need help with coming out the other end...

Wheaten
My two staffies have always eaten grass in all the years I've had them. They're like two grazing cows. It's not that they need to induce vomiting and the get the best BARF food going. It's just something some dogs like to do and not always a bad thing.
Do not discourage your dog from eating grass.Dogs know when they need it and it will aid digestion. My dogs will eat different grass at different times. Theri own personal pharmacy in my back garden!

This year seems to be a good year for good grass for dogs to eat. Mine are queueing up for it, and don't sick anything up, they just like the taste.
