Hares are larger than rabbits and have black tips to their ears.  Hares do not dig burrows (warrens) but conceal themselves in indentations in the ground called forms.

Hares have longer ears, are larger and have longer legs.  A rabbit's eyes have a large pupil, making them look like glass beads, but a hare's pupil is smaller, showing a brown eye.

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered before, because I pasted a link about it, but I can't find the original question?

A Hare can run uphill faster than it can run down.
Hare tastes much stronger and should be treated like other strong game such as venison.
