The "offender's" dogs left a whoopsie on the Judge's lawn, and she then had him prosecuted to the tune of 20000.

A fair punishment? Or a doggone liberty M'Lud?

The owner should've been more responsible with the animals, but 20,000 is a joke. How do they get to that ridiculous figure??
One thing is for sure, if she'd been an ordinary pleb and not had the backing of the Law, it would never have even gone to court!! Bit of a joke!!!

Ice, they got to that figure because SHE IS a Judge!!!!
Well I know, Beauj. Shows you what those within the judiciary system get paid, and I still say it's ridiculous.
I'm agreeing with you Ice love. I think the amount is outrageous to say the least!!! Just saying, that it's because technically she has abused the 'use' of the law simply because she is a Judge. Does anybody kid themselves to believe that the same rule / amount of comp. would have been given if she was a road sweeper?? No way! & yes, it's yer man's job to clear up his dogs doos and not let them unto others property - but hey 20K? A Joke!!

I'm off to me bed now girls & boys!! Hear you later.
Agree with you Beauj.
Night to you and paraffin.
The man was ordered to pay 500 in damages, not 20,000 this was made up of the legal costs, which he was ordered to pay as is so often the case.

There is a lot more to this case than simply a doogiedoo in the womans lawn. No person should have to put up with being confronted by menacing dogs where they are legally entitled to go, especially on their own property.

The legal action was taken only after the man failed to uphold his promise to keep the dogs under control.

This sensationalising only helps the anti-dog brigade with more ammunition.

Lighten up - it's a tongue in cheek post as a result of reading the article which, in spite of the not so funny undertones, still brought a smile to my face.
