how can i clean puppy 'accident' stains of sofa

hi all
i have a 11 week old puppy who has had a couple of accidents on my cream sofa. I have mopped them up straight away and sprayed the area & scrubbed it clean but now have some large water patches that do not look very nice. Is there anyway i can get rid of these other than buy a cover for the sofa? any hints would be gratefully received.
