Thank you for you suggestions on how to keep squrriles, groundhogs, chipmunks and birds away from my pumkins. I almost forgot this was an international auidence when I posted my question!! This is to clarify that my pumkins are not from a crop...The one's I'm trying to save are within my landscaping in front of my house as decoration....(I think I am going to try that black cat idea though!! Perfect for the Holloween Holiday!!!)...Thanks!!! And if anyone else has any ideas I would appreciate it...By the way I read somthing about a HOT CHILI PEPPER SPRAY...can't seem to find it anywhere though any ideas anyone?

I did some searching and found that hot pepper spray i read about on this site that was "coming out".  It's only for squrriles though and it's called ScootSquirrel...here's the site below.....

Ordinary chilli powder is sure fire for squirrels & cheap too. It also works when planting spring bulbs, crocus etc, just dip the bulb in chilli powder when planting & you will have a great show in the spring. Works every time....Spinner
