Its boxing day and that only means one thing.....
we are going round to mum and dad in laws for the day (well when my hubby gets back from the boxing day hunt, which i refused to go to)
It should be fun, but no doubt there will be an argument along the way.
so wish me luck i am about to dig out the tin hat from under the sofa and get myself in a calm place before we leave....

yup and no dishes to do.
Docspock, i have been raised to abhor hunting which i do to this day, my grandmother was a leading voice in the campaign to get it banned.
My husbands family on the other hand are hunters from generations way back and when the ban came through i could not help but rub it in there faces.
the out law visit should be fun and yes i have a safe haven to return to.

I used to imagine the outlaws actually had sex to produce their 7 kids, that always made me giggle when they were being particularly cutting

its fine doc, honestly, you want to see hounds getting there cumumpence u should watch the Belstone fox a bit grisly in places but it certainly shows foxes to be cleverer than you think.
I hate hunting all ways have all ways will i grew up on Exmoor where hunting was rife even today the sound of the horn sets my very nerves on edge and the urge to stick it somewhere the sun dont shine.
Ha ha! i shall try not to! we may take the dog for a walk to allow me to cool off they can be a bit much sometimes,i come from a small family and my hubby is 1 of 4 boys, plus parents plus the partner of the next one down,oh joy.
Try to have a good day firewatch. I too was brought up in hunting, shooting & fishing country and I hate it. I love riding but don't see the need to chase something - like you would like to stick the stupid horns (sideways) where the sun don't shine.
You have my sympathy firewatch.
I have the in-laws from hell staying here for the week. They demand a full cooked breakfast at 7am each day and have done nothing but carp and moan about my food/my kids/the tv programmes/their presents etc etc.
Mr O has taken the kids & cleared off for the day and I'm hiding upstairs pretending to be doing some work.

It's my own fault - I should have married an orphan!

My mums partner had a load of hunting horns and when she diead and we sorted her things out they were the first things i chucked in a box!
Lol @ mrs_overall. Why do some people just choose to moan about everything?
Lol @ dustypuss!

Hello firewatch, hope you had a nice Christmas. The Aprilis family are off 'oop noorth' tomorrow to visit my in-laws. Can't say I'm particularly looking forward to it but as we live so far away from them that little miss Aprilis rarely gets to see her grandparents. So, like you, I'll just have to grin and bear it.
