Hedgehogs or rabbits carry fleas, although if there have been dogs or cats in or through the garden at any time then any fleas on them could have laid eggs which are now hatching out. If a local cat is coming into the garden to sleep then the fleas will probably be mostly around that area. Difficult one to deal with, try some of the stuff that repels dogs or cats, spray it on fences, posts etc to try to put them off. Not sure if it works on hedgehogs or rabbits though.
Wear wellies with trousers tucked in.....fleas wont bother u.

Fleas are everywhere at present but the cold of winter will kill them off...........stay in till then, if you want to avoid them.

Good job the fleas dont have a site like this......they may want to dispense with you, treading all over the poor mites;-)
