What should you feed wild ducks?

I have been feeding a group of semi-wild ducks bread for some time. I gather that bread is bad for them (even possibly causing angel wing). I have checked the internet and seem to only come up with general bird feed. Surely waterfowl must be healthiest with a different diet than garden birds. What should I be feeding them?

Mixed corn.
You can get special food ..where we go to feed the ducks on the Broads the local pub sells special bags of mixed corn as lankeela says .A good pet shop and feed supplier should be able to sell you some .Or the RSPCA do a special wildfowl (duck and swan )food

Angelwing is usually caused by high protein food so bread should not hurt them. They are a lot better off with a grain mix though, as has been stated.
Food preference is localised and this doesn't work everywhere, but my auntie used to get all those outside lettuce leaves from that bin that the supermarkets have by the vegie dept. once that is washed it is ideal food and quickly decomposes if uneaten.

If everyone was to stop feeding the ducks in towns there would be many mangy and starving ducks as there is just not enough food in there natural habitat. The number of duck is regulated by the amount of food available so to suddenly stop is cruel and may even cause diseases amongst weakened waterfowl.
