I think it's because their wings are so tiny. as the spend most of their life swimming ant not flying, evolution might have said ok, lets give them tiny wings. they'll have to fly very fast to stay in the air let alone taking off, but for their purpose they are ideal. oh, by the way: so, does the Duracell thing mean that the duracell bunny is circumcised or not?
Question Author
Not sure about circumcised but like most rabbits he should be castrated !
are you australian?
Question Author

errrr I think I better stop there !

First of all it's to get away from the drakes, probably. Second ducks migrate over vast distances. A lot of our mallards are idle devils who stay here and get fat on our feeding them but a great many even of them are migratory. It helps ducks to be efficient, fast fliers, if they are to fly in quite cold weather; no thermals or updraughts rising to help them; from here to Russia and beyond.
