You will probably need a prescription from your Vet, but try Vetmedic Pharmacy...www.vet-medic.com, or 0800 387348. I often use them & they're very helpful. Also, you might be able to get the tablets from a human pharmacy (As long as you check with your Vet & again he'll probably need to give you a prescription) But it might work out cheaper in the long term.
It will certainly work out significantly cheaper at a local Human pharmacy. Expect a few odd looks when you present your prescription though. If in doubt, take the box you have to the local pharmay and ask the pharmacist to give you an idea how much it would cost to get a course of them on a vets prescription. A Vet's prescription is similar to a private (ie non-NHS) prescription, except VAT is chargeable. Bear in mind that the Vet makes most of his/her income from the massive mark up of the products supplied, not the consultation fee (just like an optician does) so will be reluctant to lose the business. Whereas an optician is legally bound to issue you with a prescription you can take to any spectacvle manufacturer - and I would always advise you to do so - I am not certain if this is the same for a Vet.
