Hi, our 13 year old Jack has started to 'leak' a little, so her lovely faux fur do-nut soft bed is now inpracticle in terms of washing and drying. are there such things that are waterproof, easily wiped clean, quick to dry yet will give her comfort she's used to? Don't fancy a hard shell bed with obvious old towels as her base, she's used to comfort. any ideas?

Get a piece of vetbed and cut it in half, use one half and have one ready to change, it washes and dries in a very short time and any wet does not stay on the surface, so the dog stays dry. It lasts forever and is warm and comfortable.

A plastic bed would stay wet and be cold and uncomfortable.
I agree with lankeela vet bed is soft and comfortable and liquid goes through it. I always put newspaper under the vetbed. Its suprising how damp the paper gets if the dogs have been out in the rain even if they have been towelled off but the vetbed feels dry.
have you thought of using dog nappys
hi, you might wnat to look at these, I use something similar for my working dogs.

I bought some waterproof mattress covers very cheaply from Lidl, they were were excellent for sofa's and dog bedding in the car. They are like a short terry towelling so comfortable and elasticated to hold in place. Might be big for a JR bedding but can be cut, sewn. They washed easily and dried quite quickly.
