I have an 8 week old kitten.
In the last 24 hours, i have noticed that when he goes
to the toilet he has blood around his back end.

I am now changing his diet to just dry food to see if that helps.

Apart from that, he seem healthy and happy and tears around the house with out a care!

Should i be worried about this?

Tia, I think if to be on the safe side you should take him to the vet today if possible. Good luck, boojp
I dont have a cat now, only dogs, and although I feed dry food, I always add some wet food too - dry food swells in the tummy when it is eaten, and you should always ensure they drink plenty of water, which is often difficult with cats - and with dogs I always endorse moistening it first. I would ask the vet to check kitten over, and also give a little wet food once or twice a day too.
If you had blood coming out of your "backend" I bet you would be straight to the doctors, your kitten can't take itself straight to the vets.
Well said Toureman !

Took Kitty to vets Sat morning. All was fine. Seemed it was caused by a scratch caused by his sister and some rough playing!
glad kittys ok i personally never feed dry food i always soak it first after having a cat that was always at the vets with bladder trouble vet advised me to soak all his biscuits and add a little warm water to his meat .

Thanks ruthann.
When dry food, i normally soak it in a little warm water but had never heard the warm water and meat thing before.
Good tip though, i will try it out!
