are mice carniverous?

The last couple of mice i've caught by trap in my shed seem to be have been knawed by another creature. can anyone tell me if other mice are likely to eat away a trapped mouse or what else is likely to do this? thanks.

Were these sticky traps?
They will often knaw at themselves in order to free themselves :(

mmm, i suppose that's quite viable, but seeing as one had half it's own face gone and the other couldn't have got it's head around to get at it's side i don't think that's the case here. thanks though

I work on the London Underground, and i've seen, a couple of times, mice being chased by rats, that may not be the cause of yours, but its a possibility.

Mice are omnivorous so they will eat anything and yes they will eat each other. mothers often eat there young if they are not happy about something. and weeker mice are often eaten rats are the same.

it couldn't have been a cat as it wouldn't have been able to get in the shed in the first place. i hope it isn't rats - guess i'll have to get a bigger trap to see. thank you all for your input
