Try the RSPCA or Cats Protection League for advice - they may have ideas - possibly the Mother may have rejected the kitten - it needs it's mothers milk for survival
By four weeks old kittens are likely to be starting to poke their nose into their mothers food and having a go at it. Go get some food for it- the kitten variety. You can also buy milk suitable for cats- it should be well capable of lapping it up from a shallow bowl. Kittensd are ready to leave their mother by eight weeks- by six weeks you should be providing at least three quarters of their food intake
Any pet store should sell a kitten's milk (I'm sorry I forgot the name) that can and should be given to a kitten who does not have access to its mother's milk. Our vet recommended it for our shelter kitten who was 4 weeks old when we got her. Her mother had been killed.
